HISTORY OF THE COMPANY
GPP Business Park S.A.
is a business entity that has been operating since 12th of May 1995. Until April 2005 the company, as a subsidiary of Górnośląska Agencja Przekształceń Przedsiębiorstw S.A. operated under the following names: TOR sp. z o.o., Drukarnia Śląska Sp. z o.o., Prymat sp. z o.o., GAPP Sp. z o.o., and since October 2004 as BUDMASZ sp. z o.o., with several modifications to its business objects. At the beginning of 2005 conceptual work was undertaken to create an Industrial Park in post-industrial, brownfield areas intended for reclamation after the liquidated state-owned company Silesia Steelworks.
In its resolution on 12th of April 2005, the General Shareholders’ Meeting of the Company made relevant amendments to the Company’s Articles of Association giving it the name of Górnośląski Park Przemysłowy Sp. z o.o.
The Industrial Park – a complex of separate real estates that at least comprises a real estate on which the technical infrastructure that has remained thereafter a restructured or liquidated enterprise is located, and which has been set up under a civil law agreement in which a local government unit is one of the parties, thus creating a possibility of conducting business operations for entrepreneurs, especially small and medium-sized ones. Legal basis: the Act on Amending the Act on Financial Support for Investments and the Act on the Conditions for Eligibility and Supervision State Aid for Entrepreneurs of 29 August 2003 (Journal of Laws 03159.1537).
The Company’s business services include:
- managing the GPP BUSINESS PARK complex,,
- promoting and encouraging entrepreneurship,
- reactivation and reclamation of brownfield sites,
- co-ordinating the First Cluster of Passive and Energy Saving Construction activities, among others, focused on designing smart and sustainable buildings with the use of modern technologies.
On June 5, 2017, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Górnośląski Park Przemysłowy Limited Company adopted a resolution on the transformation into a joint-stock company under the name GPP Business Park SA. On July 7, 2017, the District Court for Katowice-Wschód registered the transformed Company under the KRS number: 0000685576
